Officer Hub
Invite your executive and members
Invite people one at a time or paste a list of up to 50, choose the role each person gets, and send a fresh link when an invite has expired.
- Who can do this
- The local president and officers allowed to invite.
Nobody can join your local's Officer Hub or Local Portal without an invite. The president sends them from Invite officers and members, in Local Admin or from the setup list.
Choose the right role
The role decides what each person can open. Give people the least they need. You can change it later.
- Local executive: officers who run local business, such as the vice-president, treasurer or secretary.
- Local steward: stewards who handle grievances. This is the default.
- Stability committee: members who work on seniority and bumping cases.
- Local member (Hall): members, who use the Local Portal only.
Invite one person

- Open Invite officers and members.
- Under Invite your team, enter the person's Name and Email.
- Tick one or more Roles.
- If the site sends email, leave Send invite email now ticked. If it does not, the page says so.
- Press Create invite.
Invite ready shows the link and the date it expires, usually in seven days. Use Copy full link to send it yourself by text or another email, or Send email to send it from the site.
When the person opens the link, we email a code to the address you entered, and they type it in before they can accept. So the link alone is not enough: only the person who reads that email can accept, and you cannot accept for them. Check the address carefully.
Tip: Tell people an invite is coming. An email from a site they do not know is easy to ignore.
Invite a list
Use this for your whole executive, or for members once the Local Portal is ready.
- Open Invite a list.
- Paste one person per line into Names and emails, up to 50 at a time.
Name, email, email, nameand two columns copied from a spreadsheet all work. An email alone also works: the part before the @ becomes the name. - Choose the roles. Everyone in the list gets the same roles and the same local.
- Press Review the list and check the rows. Lines with a problem, such as an invalid or repeated email, or someone already invited, are skipped and say why.
- Tick These people belong to my local and expect an invite., then press Send (or Create when the site does not send email).
If sending stops part way, for example because of a sending limit, the page says why. Wait, then send the rest.
Follow up on invites
Invites on this union lists every invite with its status: Waiting, Accepted, Revoked or Expired.
- Send email again re-sends a waiting invite.
- Copy full link gives you a fresh link. The old one stops working.
- For an expired invite, press Send a new link.
People who asked to join through your local's join link or the access request form can appear under Member access requests. Check that they belong to your local before you invite them.
