Install UnionOps as an app
Add UnionOps to your home screen or taskbar. No app store, and no extra download beyond the browser you already have.
Why install?
- Open it in one tap from your home screen or taskbar, in its own window.
- Public pages you already opened can still load if the signal drops. Officer Hub work still needs a network.
- No App Store or Google Play account. Comms tools do not need a UnionOps login.
iPhone / iPad
- Open this site in Safari. Chrome on iPhone cannot add the app.
- Tap the Share button (square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
Android
- Open this site in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮).
- Tap Install app. If you only see Add to Home screen, that makes a shortcut, not the full app — use Install when it appears.
Computer
- Open https://unionops.org in Chrome, Edge, or Brave.
- On the right side of the address bar, click the Install icon (a computer with a down arrow).
- Confirm. If you do not see Install, you may already be in the app window.
On a Mac in Safari, use File, then Add to Dock. Safari never shows an automatic prompt.
No app store required
UnionOps does not collect personal data or extra device permissions when you install. The app runs in your browser on this device.
If Install does not appear
Use unionops.org, not www. You may already be in the app window. Safari never shows an automatic prompt — follow the steps above. After you change Brand Kit colours, reopen the app (or install it once more) if the icon still looks old.
What install does not change
Grievance, bumping, and other Officer Hub modules still need a signed-in session and a network connection when you work live.
