Local Portal
Join your Local Portal
Accept the invite from your local, use its join link, or ask for access. Then sign in and, if your local offers it, link your member record.
- Who can do this
- Members of a local that uses the Local Portal.
Your local decides who joins its Local Portal. There are three ways in, and you only need one of them.
If your local sent you an invite
- Open the email from your local and choose the link in it.
- Check the card that says You are joining. It names your local. If it is not the local you expected, do not accept. Ask the officer who invited you.
- Press Email me a code. Type the six-digit code we send to your email into Six-digit code from the email and press Confirm code. Do not share the code with anyone.
- Choose a password of at least 8 characters, type it again under Confirm password, and press Accept invite.
- You are signed in and taken to Together, your Local Portal home page.
Note: Invite links expire. If yours has, choose Email me a new link on the page that opens.
If your local shared a join link
Some locals share one link with everyone, on a poster or in a newsletter.
- Open the link. The page is called Join your local and names your union and local.
- Fill in your name, your last name as it appears on your union record, your union member number (it is printed on your membership card), and your email.
- Tick the box that lets your local's officers use these details to check your membership, then press Ask to join.
- An officer checks your details and sends you an invite. Then follow the steps in the section above.
The page says Request received. whether or not your details matched. That protects members: nobody can use the form to find out who belongs to the local.
If you have neither

- Open Request member access.
- Give your name, email, union and local, then press Send request.
- We check with your local. If they agree, an invite follows by email.
Sending a request does not create an account and does not sign you up to a union.
Signing in next time

- Open the sign-in page and choose I already have an account.
- Enter your email and password and press Sign in.
- If you forgot your password, choose Forgot password?, or choose Email me a sign-in link to get in without it.
Members go straight to the Local Portal. If your local asks members to use an authenticator app, you are asked for a code after your password. Sign in to the Officer Hub for the first time explains how to set one up. The steps are the same.
Your member record
If your local keeps its membership list in UnionOps, My profile in the menu lets you ask to see your own record: membership status, dues standing, and the jobs your local has on file.
- Open My profile and enter your member number.
- Press Send request. A local officer checks that the number is yours.
- Once they approve it, the page shows your record. Press Refresh to check.
Note: This page shows what your local has on file. It is not a receipt, and it never shows grievance notes.
