Local Portal
Get help from your local
Find who to contact at your local, read what your bargaining committee has published, and send a note about the website itself.
- Who can do this
- Members with a Local Portal account.
Who to ask depends on what you need. The Help page in the Local Portal sorts it out for you.
Open Help
Choose Help in the Local Portal menu. It has three cards.
- Your local: for a question about your workplace, your collective agreement or a problem at work. The card shows the contact your local has published, with an email and phone number. If no one is listed, ask a steward or officer you know.
- Your account: to change your name, photo or home local, or to check how you sign in. Press Open my profile.
- This website: if something on the site is broken or confusing. Press Send a note to UnionOps. That note comes to us, the people who run the site, not to your local officers.
Note: Keep the details of a problem at work for a conversation with your steward. Do not put them in a Local Portal post.
Send a note about the site
You can also choose Site feedback in the Local Portal menu. That note reaches us too.
- Under What is this about?, choose an idea, something broken, an accessibility barrier, a workshop note or something else.
- Write Your note. Say what you were trying to do and what happened.
- Add your email if you want a reply. It is optional.
- Tick the consent box and press Send feedback.
Read what your bargaining committee shares
During bargaining, your committee may publish updates for members under Proposals.
- Choose Proposals in the Local Portal menu.
- Each card is one update From your bargaining committee, with the date it was last updated.
- Use Search proposals to find a topic, such as overtime or scheduling.
You only see what the committee has chosen to publish for members. Questions about bargaining go to your local, using the contact on the Help page.
