Local Portal
Reply to a meeting invite
Say whether you are coming from the link your local sends or from Together, tell them about guests or access needs, and change your answer later.
- Who can do this
- Members invited to a meeting by their local.
When your local plans a meeting, it may ask who is coming. Your answer helps officers book a big enough room, order enough food and arrange any access needs. You do not need an account to reply.
Where the invite comes from
- A link from your local, in an email, a text or a poster. It opens a reply page for that meeting.
- Together, if you use the Local Portal. A meeting waiting for your answer shows in Needs you as RSVP needed.
- The Calendar tab in the Hall. Choose the meeting, then Open RSVP (outside the Local Portal).
Send your reply
- Check the meeting title, date and place at the top of the page.
- Enter Your name.
- Under Attending, choose Yes, Maybe or No.
- If you chose Yes or Maybe, answer How are you joining?: On site or Remote.
- If you are coming in person, add any Guests joining you on site, Dietary needs and Accessibility needs. These are optional.
- Tick the consent box and press Submit RSVP.
The page confirms that your RSVP was recorded. To add the meeting to your own calendar, open the meeting in the Calendar tab and choose Download .ics.
Change your answer
Open the same link again. If you are signed in to the Local Portal, the page shows what you answered and when. Send the form again: the new answer replaces the old one.
What your local sees
Officers see your name, your answer and anything you chose to add. Email, phone and role are optional. The page collects only what is needed for the head count and accessibility.
Note: If the page says the link is closed, the meeting has stopped taking replies. Ask your steward if you still want to come.
