Pathway drafts (A–D)
Pathway A — Labour-Management Committee (LMC)
Letter to the Local President: Please place this systemic workplace concern on the next Labour-Management Committee agenda for joint review, with a written follow-up timeline to the parties. Attach a one-page summary of the practice, who is affected, and the outcome sought.
Pathway B — Joint Health and Safety (JHSC)
Referral to the local health and safety representative / JHSC: Please schedule a joint inspection or review of this concern, document findings for both parties, and recommend corrective measures with target dates.
Pathway C — Informal supervisor discussion
Steward talking points for a 1:1 with the supervisor: (1) State the concern factually without blame. (2) Ask how they read the practice or rule. (3) Propose one corrective step the member can live with. (4) Confirm the follow-up date in writing. (5) Log the conversation for the file.
Pathway D — Workplace mobilization / survey
Mobilization draft: Map who is affected; draft a short anonymous member survey; set a steward huddle date; decide whether the issue returns as a group complaint, LMC item, or grievance once patterns are clear. Keep messaging factual and solidarity-focused.
